Marina Bay Sands
Marina Bay Sands (MBS) is arguably the most recognizable landmark in Singapore and one of the world’s most photographed luxury hotels. Opened in 2010 and designed by architect Moshe Safdie, this integrated resort redefined the city’s skyline with its three 55-story towers connected by the 340-meter-long SkyPark, which resembles a ship floating in the clouds.
History and Character
As a flagship property of Las Vegas Sands, MBS is more than just a hotel; it is a “city within a city.” Its design was inspired by card decks and is underpinned by traditional Feng Shui principles to ensure prosperity. The hotel is famous for its grand-scale luxury, featuring massive atriums, world-class art installations (like Antony Gormley’s Drift), and a seamless blend of high-tech futurism with opulent hospitality.
Rooms and Suites
With over 2,500 guestrooms and suites, MBS is one of the largest luxury hotels in Asia. Following a multi-billion dollar renovation completed around 2023–2024, the interiors have been upgraded to “Sands Collection” standards, featuring a refined “Singaporean Luxury” aesthetic.

Location and Experience
Situated at the heart of the Marina Bay waterfront, the hotel is directly linked to the Bayfront MRT station. It serves as the gateway to the Gardens by the Bay and the Helix Bridge. Staying at Marina Bay Sands is less about “quiet seclusion” and more about being at the center of global glamour. It is designed for travelers who want a high-energy, “bucket-list” experience with unparalleled access to entertainment, shopping, and the most famous view in Singapore.
